ATHELSTAND REC GROUND

Calisthenics park in Athelstand Rec Ground 001

COMBO:

The stainless steel bars are on the thick side, but other than that, this is a nice little set up.

There’s 2 x pull up bars, 2 x push up bars, stall bars and an abs bench. The ground has grass matting, to stop it getting too muddy in the winter months.

MONKEY BARS:

The rungs are so close together I think this is probably aimed at kids. It’s okay for hammer grip chin ups and similar moves.

I personally would stick to the combo in this park for your training.

HURDLES:

I don’t know anybody who goes to the park to jump hurdles, but they seem to be in quite a few parks.

These are quite high and could be used for straight bar dips and reverse rows.
